Philipsburg Child Development Center
|
Philipsburg Child Development Center (CDC) is a multi-age child development center for children from 6 weeks of age through completion of kindergarten.
There are four classrooms within the center:
The Infant Room
|
6 weeks to 12 months |
The Young Toddler Room |
13 months to 24 months |
The Older Toddler Room |
25 months to 36 months |
The Preschool Room |
3 years to completion of kindergarten |
Each classroom is set up to meet the developmental needs of the age group.
Philipsburg CDC , located in a large turn of the century house, is a “home away from home.” There are large play yards for infants, toddlers and preschoolers. Since the center is in the heart of downtown Philipsburg, the children go on walks and take part in many community events. The center regularly joins the seniors at the Towers for activities. In the summer the center plans weekly field trips, visiting many local and regional sites.
Philipsburg CDC provides a rich environment and lets children progress at their own pace. The center demonstrates a commitment to enhancing the child’s positive self-concept, promoting essential early childhood development activities and providing a balance of active and quiet play plus group play and individual activities.
Infants follow their own schedule for eating and sleeping. Toddlers and preschoolers have a consistent routine for meals, rest-time, and activities.
Parents are welcome to join their children for special activities and to drop by as their schedule permits.
